Rashad joined the Bullitt Foundation as a Program Officer in 2014 where he manages the foundation's Energy, Climate, and Materials and Deep Green Buildings programs. Prior to joining Bullitt, Rashad developed a broad base of experience in policy formation and advocacy as a Seattle City Council Legislative Assistant, a Policy Analyst for the Washington State Senate, and for the nonprofit Washington Environmental Council. Deeply committed to integrating social, racial, and economic justice with environmental sustainability, he has served as a volunteer co-lead and founder of Seattle's chapter of the Environmental Professionals of Color (EPOC) network and currently sits on the boards of the Environmental Grantmakers Association, Evergreen Business Capital, and Evergreen Business Capital Foundation. Rashad earned his law degree from U.C. Berkeley and his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.
