David Plotz
David Plotz is the CEO of Atlas Obscura (www.AtlasObscura.com), the Brooklyn-based media and travel company. He is also host of the popular Slate Political Gabfest podcast. Before joining Atlas Obscura in 2014, Plotz was Editor in Chief of Slate, where he won two National Magazine Awards and was a finalist 14 times. He’s the author of two books, The Genius Factory: The Curious History of the Nobel Prize Sperm Bank and Good Book: The Bizarre, Hilarious, Disturbing, Marvelous, and Inspiring Things I Learned When I Read Every Single Word of the Bible. He lives in Washington, DC, with his wife, the journalist Hanna Rosin, and their three children.
